Posted by SharePoint 2013 has several other nice features. One which caught my eye very early was the “getting started” or the “tiles” which links to other areas within SharePoint. After some digging, I finally got it to work. And it’s so very simple!
The tiles are basically links and the App needed to display them is therefore a link-list: Promoted Links. In this screenshot it represents different levels within a DMS. You can add you links in this list, add a smart looking graphic and add the Promoted Links Web Part to your page.
It works like a charm and users will get a kick out of this!
