SharePoint Connections 2011 – Amsterdam

I just visited SharePoint Connections 2011 – in Amsterdam. To be honest: it was very small scale. Seeing how widely used SharePoint has become and is, I expected a lot more sessions, delegates and stands. They didn’t even have a Microsoft Press booth…. boooohoooo… (I like books).

Anyway: the sessions were mostly great. I’ve learned some new things on governance, Office 365 and architecture. The session on Document Management……let’s skip that one in future.

I heard a nice phrase as well: “make use of out of the box functionality when developing voor Office 365”. My mantra!! Yes, finally. I always advise my clients to look into the box first and then start creating of buying addons, made to measure stuff, and so on. So, that was nice to hear.

All-in-all: no time wasted.
